This is a very early z1 900,Frame number #775 .These early number z1,s are very sought after and hard to find,This one is fitted with the unique features found on the early z1,s such as the Ribless carbys,The early head with the balancers built into the head .The “knuckle” style forks.The speedo with the 20 mph above the line ,The early horn (not fitted at the time of the pics) The early style stator cover,etc.
It is fitted with the original engine to the bike.Engine number z1e 00834
It still retains its original handbook and full tool roll with points feeler gauges.
This exceptional 1972 Kawasaki Z1 900 has undergone an extensive back-to-frame restoration by our experienced team of dedicated mechanics, with every effort made to retain and restore original components wherever practical.

Frame & Body
Complete back-to-frame restoration
The bodywork professionally refinished in high-quality 2-pack paint
Finished in the correct “jaffa” colours
New tank and side cover badges and fuel cap
Original seat base bead blasted, refinished and fitted with a new seat cover
Front and rear mudguards professionally re-chromed as well as the grab rail,headlight brackets etc
All fasteners, springs, washers and hardware professionally re-zinc plated
All the painted steel components were bead blasted and finished in 2 pac paint.
Engine
Complete engine disassembly and inspection
Engine cases refinished in durable 2-pack paint
Cylinder rebored
New pistons and piston rings
New cam chain and rollers
Valves lapped and fitted with new valve stem seals
Bottom end inspected after splitting the crankcases
New gaskets and seals and bearings where needed ,fitted throughout
Outer engine covers professionally polished
New correct zinc outer engine case screws
Fuel & Intake
Original “Ribless” carburettors stripped, vapour blasted, cleaned all parts rezinc plated and professionally tuned
New airbox
New air filter
Wheels & Suspension
Original wheel rims re-chromed
New spokes fitted throughout
New wheel bearings
New tyres, tubes and rim tapes
Rear hub vapour blasted
Front hub bead blasted and refinished
Front forks fully rebuilt with new tubes, seals and dust covers
Lower fork legs vapour blasted and polished
New rear shock absorbers
Tapered steering head bearings installed
Brakes & Driveline
New brake hoses throughout
New front brake pads
New rear brake shoes
New chain and sprockets
Electrical & Controls
Original switch blocks restored
The original correct early gauges were stripped and cleaned.
New indicators, stems and mounting rubbers
New throttle cable
New clutch cable
New tachometer cable
New dry-cell battery
Exhaust
New reproduction exhaust system
Registration-The motorcycle is currently unregistered.
